Our Mission
Generic forecasts don't capture what's actually happening at your beach. Our mission is to connect riders directly to the sensor installed at the spot, so you can make decisions based on real data — not an estimate.
WindTrackr was started in 2024 out of a simple frustration: generic forecasts don't get it right at the beach. Global models are useful for the day's general trend, but they can't tell you whether your spot will have wind at 3pm.
The answer was to install sensors directly at the spot and connect them to an app built for riders. No intermediaries, no estimates — just the reading from the anemometer in front of you when you arrive at the water.
WindTrackr is built by developers who are also riders. We know the frustration of arriving at a spot with no wind because a generic forecast got it wrong. We built the tool we wished we had, and keep improving it with community feedback.
